About the Department of Planning & Economic Development
The Anytown Department of Planning and Development is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Anytown. This means working to promote new jobs and industry, as well as protecting our unique environment and cultural heritage of the community.
The Department staffs the Anytown Economic Development Board, the Anytown Planning Board, the Anytown Agriculture Development Board, the Tourism Advisory Council, and the Anytown Cultural and Heritage Commission. Additionally, many special events and communitywide meetings are coordinated through the Department of Planning and Development. GIS, Census and other demographic information, as well as aerial maps and photographs are provided by the Anytown Department of Planning and Development.
