I just moved into a new home. What do I need to do to have my garbage picked up?

If your home is new construction, a new account is set up in the homeowner's name (and the delivery of an automated container is scheduled. The monthly charge for one automated container is $11 per month and is attached to the annual property tax notice.

If your home is an existing home, you do not need to set up an account. The Sanitation Department records interface with the Treasurer's Office.  When homes change owners, the new owner's named automatically changes in the Sanitation Division database.
